Oblivion isn't a very old game. But its not very new either. Part of the Elder Scrolls series, it is by far the best RPG I've ever played. I thought I'd give a little insider on it, just so people who don't know about it can.
Oblivion is part of the Elder Scrolls series, as mentioned before. Before it came Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind. Its one of those games that just got better and better. They aren't that related to eachother, except they take place in the same world, but on different 'countries'. It is medieval fantasy, with magic and swords, so if you're a sci fi only person, better not to read this.
You start out in a prison. You don't know how you got there, or why, but you're there. Some guards come with the Emperor, and tell you you have to move. Apparently, there's a secret passage in your cell. They open it, and you follow them through. After you guys split up, you're alone, navigating through the tunnels under the prison. You then pick a class, and you get out of the dark, into the world.
The graphics of the world are great, and you really do appreciate the fact that you don't have to stick around in those dungeons. Its an open story game, so you don't have to stick to the main quest.
The main quest is rather AMAZING! Gates have been popping up everywhere, leading to a place called Oblivion (hence the name). You have to go in the gates and close them via a certain tower.
The Oblivion world is a bit disturbing, with hanging men, heads on spikes, and demons trying to kill you. You don't have to go in them, but its nice too.
You can join gangs, brotherhoods, and groups, take on great side stories, and mini quests. Interaction with people is great, and you can do whatever you want. You can decided to go and kill people, although you'll have some trouble with the city guards, that will kick your butt.
When you beat the game, they call you a hero, and you can do whatever you want from then on. The main story line is over, but the side stories aren't.
I am really quite brain dead, but I'd like to get two posts in today, so sorry for such short posts. Remember, commenting is the best thing you can do, and subscribe!
